Taiwan Report News Brief: Transitional Justice, accomplishments and frustration

The Tsai administration embarked on three transitional justice projects in her first term: the Ill-gotten Gains Act, pension reform and establishing the Transitional Justice Commission. We take a look at what has been accomplished, what hasn’t–and the political motivations behind both. While the Tsai administration has accomplished more than all her predecessors combined, there is considerable disappointment and frustration among some at the lack of progress in many areas.
